Skyline Foundation is formed to support the activities of Skyline Center, Inc., and Skyline Residential Services, both non-profit corporations providing work and community living services for people with disabilities.
Skyline Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Since its founding in 1988, Skyline Foundation has supported projects that have increased accessibility for people with disabilities in public parks and in private homes. At Baldwin Park in Clinton, IA, Skyline Foundation funded the building of an accessible picnic shelter, and the installation of a swing that would accommodate a wheel chair.
Skyline Foundation has also funded projects to improve transportation availability for people with disabilities by purchasing accessible vehicles for the use of Skyline Center to increase the mobility of its clientele.
Skyline Foundation provides gifts of cash or no interest loans to people with disabilities who are just getting started, providing them with the resources necessary to pay deposits so they can move into apartments and out of institutionalized settings, enhancing their independence. Also, gifts or loans of cash can be provided to help buy furniture or purchase a car so that a Skyline employee with a disability can get to work.
Skyline Foundation accepts donation of cash at its business office located at 2600 N. 4th Street in Clinton, Iowa 52732 or through our online store. Because Skyline Foundation is in compliance and meets the definition of a charitable organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, donations to Skyline Foundation are tax deductible.
